Division 14's primary purpose is to assist the U.S. Coast Guard in promoting boating safety and to provide support for the Coast Guard's other vital missions. We conduct comprehensive public education classes that include Federal, State and Local regulations regarding responsible boating and good seamanship. Our members also conduct free Vessel Safety Checks and perform a variety of services for the U. S. Coast Guard on shore and afloat. In addition members of Division 14 perform surface and air operations for U.S. Coast Guard Stations Harbor Beach, Air Station Detroit, Station Port Huron, Station St. Clair Shores and Sector Detroit.
We are the civilian volunteer component of the U.S. Coast Guard and currently do not participate in direct law enforcement or combat activities. To learn about our beginning, please view History of the United State Coast Guard Auxiliary. For more information about Division 14, go to Join Us.
